Privacy Policy

ParTrek ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal golf tracker designed to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is stored, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

ParTrek does not operate any account system, server-side database, analytics service, advertising network, or crash-reporting backend. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.

The information you enter into the app — rounds, hole-by-hole scores, practice sessions, swing-fault tags, free-text notes, course names, dates, times, and any photos you choose to attach — is stored locally on your device only, using the operating system's standard secure app storage (the iOS app sandbox or Android internal storage).

We do not have access to that data. It never leaves your device unless you take an explicit action to send it (for example, sharing a saved round through the system share sheet, or using your device's built-in iCloud / Google backup).

2. Device permissions

ParTrek requests the following permission, only when you take an action that needs it:

• Photo library access — used only when you tap "Add photo" while saving a round or practice session, so you can attach photos to that entry. We read only the photos you pick; we do not browse your library in the background.

That is the only permission ParTrek requests. The app does not use the camera, microphone, location services, contacts, calendar, motion sensors, Bluetooth, or any other sensitive APIs.

3. Third parties

ParTrek does not embed third-party SDKs that collect data. The app is built with the Expo SDK and React Native; these frameworks ship code that runs on your device but do not phone home from inside ParTrek.

When you choose to share a round via the system share sheet, the receiving app (Messages, Mail, etc.) is governed by its privacy policy, not ours.

4. Children's privacy

ParTrek is intended for a general audience aged 4 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

5. Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored only on your device:

• It persists across app updates from the App Store / Play Store.
• It is permanently removed when you delete (uninstall) the app, or when you tap any in-app "Reset" / "Clear history" action.
• We cannot recover deleted data — there is no server-side copy.

6. Your rights

Since we do not collect or store your personal information on any server, there is no account to delete, no profile to export, and no data of yours for us to share. You remain in full control of your data on your own device.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be mentioned in the App Store / Play Store "What's New" notes for the release that introduces them.
